The Lédger® Live™ Extension concept is associated with connecting a Ledger hardware wallet to supported Web3 services and decentralized applications. Rather than keeping private keys inside a browser, a compatible Ledger device can be used to approve transactions while sensitive wallet credentials remain protected by the hardware.
Web3 users can connect their hardware wallet to compatible decentralized applications for activities involving supported blockchain networks, decentralized finance, NFTs, and other blockchain services. Before approving a transaction, users should carefully review the destination address, network, and transaction details displayed on their Ledger device.

Safe Setup Practices
For security, obtain Ledger software only through official Ledger channels. Avoid browser extensions, applications, or download links promoted through unknown websites. Keep your Ledger device firmware and associated software updated, and verify the authenticity of websites before connecting your wallet.
Your recovery phrase is especially important. Store it offline in a secure location and never enter it into a website, browser extension, online form, email, or chat. Ledger support will not require your complete recovery phrase to provide ordinary assistance.
